About Grace

Grace Casper is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) with over a decade of experience walking alongside individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) as an advocate, coach, and trusted companion.
 

Grace’s background spans coaching, research, consulting, management, and community engagement, but her greatest passion lies in helping adults with disabilities build confidence, practice real-life skills, and find their voice in a world that often underestimates them. Whether she’s role-playing conversations, navigating public spaces together, or teaching everyday life skills, Grace believes growth happens best through relationship, practice, and presence.


From inclusive summer camps to managing a local coffee shop where she hired and coached employees with IDD, Grace has seen firsthand the transformative power of advocacy, belonging, and self-belief. These experiences shaped her coaching approach—one that centers dignity, autonomy, and celebrating each person’s strengths.
 

Through her coaching practice, Grace provides relationship-based, experiential coaching that supports adults with disabilities in navigating friendships, dating, daily life, and work. She is known for being her clients’ biggest champion—advocating fiercely, encouraging steadily, and walking with them as they step into fuller, more connected lives.
 

Grace also serves as Co-Founder of Spark Change, where she partners with employers to create inclusive workplaces and expand meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with IDD.

The Breakdown

The Name

Beacon Coaching Wordmark

When speaking with self-advocates and families of individuals with disabilities, we consistently heard the same story: supports often disappear after high school. Many people refer to this time as “the cliff” or “the abyss,” a period that can feel uncertain and overwhelming, especially in Texas. According to The Case for Inclusion (2019), Texas ranked 49th among all states in efforts to serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The name Beacon came from its meaning: a light that serves as a signal or guide. We exist to be a light that helps illuminate the often confusing waters of adulthood and show the next steps available to you. You are the pioneer of your own journey. We simply help shine the light so you can clearly see the paths and opportunities in front of you.

The Wordmark/Logo

Beacon Logo

Graphic designer, Isabel Easley, designed the Beacon logo and wordmark with the following vision in mind: 

 

The logo uses a primary color palette of red, blue, and yellow. This choice was inspired by the Bauhaus movement, which emphasized primary colors because they form the basis of all other colors. This reflects the philosophy of Beacon Coaching: just as primary colors are the foundation of art, the life skills taught through coaching are foundational skills needed to navigate adulthood. 

 

In conversations about our clients and their families, many have used the phrase “I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel” when describing the experience of finding coaching or supports after high school. The Beacon name and logo reflect this idea, symbolizing that light of hope and direction during an often uncertain transition into adulthood. The outlined design was also intentional. It creates a stained glass effect, representing light shining through and reinforcing the idea of guidance, clarity, and possibility.
